A horizontal section of giant bamboo supports two rows each of 3 cut bamboo chimes, all of which have had a burning technique applied to them to produce horizontal stripes.
Please note there may be some variation in design: the strikers may either be 2 wooden disks with 2 wind catchers, or a single horizontal section of bamboo as in the video clip below. There is very little variation in the sounds.
All strung on black nylon (rot-proof) line with a hook for hanging at the top.
