This Magical Mystery Chime showcases a unique and beautiful sounding
feature called "octave doubling". Each note in this chime appears again
one octave higher than the main melody or scale. This expands the range
of the chime while adding harmonic content and beauty to the sound.
Calypso Island chime is tuned to the last notes of Yellow Bird, which is based on a 19th century Haitian folk song.
The
ten silver chimes are of a rust-proof, aluminium alloy threaded on
rot-proof nylon line. The wooden components are of ash, with a teak
finish.
