In Chinese culture, the pagoda is often used for the taming of cheeky
spirits by ‘imprisoning’ them in it. Hence the Pagoda Bell is a potent
remedy to ward of evil spirits and bad chi.
This particular pagoda sits atop a bronze bell which features various Chinese characters. 5 small bells are arranged around the edge, each one with decorative silky red tassels below and guarded by a dragon at the top.
The clapper is a single Chinese coin, also with silky red tassels. The thread from which the bell
hangs features a red mystic knot or symbol of infinity which is said to
further multiply good chi.
