This graceful and soft-sounding chime is named for the Chion-in Buddhist temple in Kyoto, which is one of the most sacred sites in Japan.
Tuned to an ancient Japanese scale found on early zither instruments, Kyoto has 5 silver alloy chimes strung on cream coloured nylon line from a smooth cherrywood top.
The striker and the windcatcher, which bears the Woodstock branding, are also cherrywood - all wooden components are coated with a weather-resistant finish.
